About Kazi Irrtaza Hossain
Kazi Irrtaza Hossain is a development professional working at Hope-TKF Animal Welfare Foundation, contributing to the design and implementation of programs that aim to protect vulnerable animals while strengthening community awareness and engagement around humane treatment.
Her journey with Hope-TKF is rooted in a broader commitment to social impact—working at the intersection of community development, youth leadership, and inclusive programming. Through her role, Irrtaza supports the implementation and monitoring of multiple projects in Bangladesh in collaboration with diverse partners, ensuring that initiatives are both effective and aligned with long-term impact goals.
With over five years of experience in program management, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement, Irrtaza has played a key role in leading community-driven initiatives across Bangladesh. Prior to joining Hope-TKF, she worked with JAAGO Foundation Trust under the USAID-funded Bijoyee Project, where he led youth-led organizational development and advocacy efforts. Her work focused on strengthening organizational capacity, designing inclusive outreach strategies, and engaging marginalized communities—including women, persons with disabilities, and diverse gender groups—in civic participation and development processes.
Earlier, at BRAC Youth Platform, Irrtaza coordinated large-scale youth development programs, working with thousands of young people across multiple districts in Bangladesh. She led training initiatives, advocacy campaigns, and partnership engagements, while also contributing to program design, monitoring, and evaluation systems. Her experience as a facilitator and mentor further reflects her commitment to empowering young people with leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Irrtaza holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from University of Dhaka. Irrtaza’s academic background, combined with hands-on field experience, shapes a structured yet people-centred approach to development work.
Driven by a belief in dignity, inclusion, and sustainable change, Irrtaza continues to contribute to initiatives that not only address immediate needs but also build systems for long-term impact—ensuring that both people and animals are treated with compassion, respect, and care.
